AUBURN, Ala. - Tannon Snow's 12th inning home run lifted 11th-ranked Auburn Softball to a 1-0 win Saturday night at Jane B. Moore Field over No. 19 Kentucky. It is the Tigers' fifth-straight win and 19th shutout of the season.

After exchanging scoreless frames for 11 innings, Snow, a redshirt sophomore from Chino Hills, Calif., took matters into her own hands, turning on a 2-2 pitch to send a moonshot over the wall in left field to clinch the series over the Wildcats (19-7, 2-5 SEC).

"I just kept getting beat inside this whole game, and I just told myself that I'm not getting beat this time, and it happened," Snow said. "I saw it a little up and I drove it. I just saw it and knew I had two strikes, so I just had to do it."

The game was a true pitcher's duel through its entirety with both teams collecting just five hits apiece prior to the walk-off. Auburn senior ace Kaylee Carlson (14-1, 0.56) tossed a career high 12.0 innings allowing no runs on five hits, with five strikeouts and just one walk. The right-hander from Garden Grove, Calif. retired the Wildcats in order in seven of the 12 innings worked.

Carlson picked up the 60th win of her Auburn career (60-8), tying for second in program history in career wins. It was also the 13th shutout of her Auburn career.

"Everything was kind of working tonight. We were mixing it up in and out and going high and low, and I think that was really key," Carlson said. "I felt really good tonight and I'm glad because I pitched 12 innings and it's been a while since I did something like that. My team was doing good and I was just trying to fight for them."

Auburn improved to 30-6, 4-4 in SEC play and clinched their second-straight SEC series win.

Kentucky starting pitcher Autumn Humes was also impressive in the circle, allowing just one run on six hits with five strikeouts and a walk. She ultimately ended up on the losing end of the pitcher's duel and dropped to 5-2 on the season.

Alyssa Rivera collected her sixth multi-hit game of the season for the Tigers, one of which being a leadoff triple. Snow, Courtney Shea, Kendall Veach, and Makenna Dowell each tallied a hit in the contest.

Auburn and Kentucky wrap things up on Sunday afternoon. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. CT and will be broadcasted on SEC Network .
