Tigers Positioned in 8th Following Second Round in Hootie at Bulls Bay

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The 6th-ranked Auburn men's golf team is sitting in eighth place at the Hootie at Bulls Bay after the second round of play. The Tigers logged a 12-over 300 Monday at the par 72 Bulls Bay Course.

Brandon Mancheno matched his first round score with a 1-over 73 in his second round. The Jacksonville, Fla. native racked up three birdies on the day, including two on the front nine. He is currently tied for 21st overall.

Joining Mancheno in a tie for 21st is Ben Schlottman, who carded a 4-over 76. The senior also tallied three birdies, with two coming on the back nine.

Trace Crowe is two shots back of Mancheno and Schlottman after notching the second-best round of the day by Auburn with a 3-over 75.

Ryan Knop carded a 6-over 78 and is tied for 37th, while Jovan Rebula shot a 4-over 76 and is tied for 52nd heading into the final day.

At 11-over as a team, the Tigers are just one stroke off seventh-place NC State and is within striking distance of the top-five.

Kent State currently leads the field at 10-under (281-285--566) followed by Kentucky (281-287--568), Iowa State (281-290--571), Ole Miss (281-291--572), Missouri (278-299--577), Wisconsin (289-292--581), NC State (288-298--586), Auburn (287-300--587), South Carolina (288-301--589), College of Charleston (289-301--590), Georgia State (285-308--593), Louisville (290-306--596), Georgia Southern (299-302--601), Eastern Kentucky (296-306--602) and Wofford (306-312--618).
