BATON ROUGE, La. -The No. 15 Auburn gymnastics team scored a 195.625 Sunday afternoon, falling to No. 3 LSU with a 198.100 in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

"We started out a little tentative and were trying too hard," head coach Jeff Graba said. "I thought we did a really good job bouncing back from the first rotation with solid performances on vault and floor. We let the crowd get the best of us at the end. We just need to let it all hang out and we'll be a better team."

Auburn moved to 6-8 overall and 1-6 the Southeastern Conference.

Auburn opened the day on bars, scoring a 48.975. Redshirt junior Abby Milliet anchored the youthful Tiger squad with a 9.875, while sophomores Gracie Day and Kendal Moss earned a 9.825 and 9.8, respectively. Freshman Drew Watson added a 9.775 and junior Samantha Cerio's 9.7 contributed to the team score.

The visiting Tigers moved on the vault for the second rotation and put together a solid 49.175. Freshmen Jada Glenn and Watson led the squad with a 9.85 apiece, while a trio of Tigers followed with a 9.825 each. The first came from junior A'Miracal Phillips, marking a season-high for the Enterprise, Ala., product, with the other two coming from junior Taylor Krippner and Day.

Auburn moved on to floor, finishing with a 49.125. Day had an outstanding performance for the away squad, securing a team-best 9.875. Watson, in the third slot, earned a 9.85, while redshirt sophomore Emma Slappey was awarded a 9.825. Freshman Ashley Smith led off the rotation with a 9.8 and Milliet anchored with a 9.775.

AU capped the day on beam, having to count a fall on beam for a 48.35. Krippner led the squad with a 9.85, while Cerio and freshman Meredith Sylvia added a 9.775 each. Freshman Allie Riddle led off with a 9.725.

Auburn caps the regular season at the annual Elevate the Stage meet, facing off with Alabama in a non-conference showdown. The podium meet will be held in Huntsville, Ala., at the Von Braun Center and will kick off at 7 p.m. CT.
