BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Auburn softball senior outfielder Victoria Draper has been named co-SEC Player of the Week the league office announced Monday.

"I think Victoria is very deserving," head coach Mickey Dean said. "She has performed at a very high level since I have been here on campus. It's nice to see her athleticism really come to the forefront."

Draper had a phenomenal .833 batting clip in the Wilson/DeMarini Classic, going 10-for-12 at the plate with seven runs scored, two RBI and four walks. She was also a perfect 9-for-9 on the base paths in stolen base attempts, extending her nation-leading stolen base tally to 29, which is already second-most in single-season program history.

Draper has already single-handedly eclipsed Auburn's entire stolen base season total from last season (28).

Draper was perfect vs. lefthanders on the weekend, batting 4-4, and was 7-for-8 as a leadoff hitter. The Moulton, Ala. product current leads the team in hits (33), batting average (.550), runs scored (30), on base percentage (.671) and stolen bases (29).

Arkansas' Hannah McEwen earned co-Player of the Week honors while Razorback freshman Mary Haff was named Freshman of the week. Florida's Kelly Barnhill was named Pitcher of the Week.

Behind Draper's explosive play in the leadoff spot, the No. 12 Tigers are 23-2 as they gear up for SEC play beginning this week with a trip to Baton Rouge to take on LSU Mar. 9-11.
