BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn men's golfers Ben Schlottman and Brandon Mancheno were honored by the Southeastern Conference the league office announced Wednesday. Schlottman was named SEC Men's Golfer of the Week and Mancheno was named Freshman Men's Golfer of the Week.

The pair helped lead the No. 6 Tigers to a 25-stroke win at the Tiger Invitational Presented by Jason Dufner, their second-straight win of the spring.

Schlottman was Auburn's top finisher, carding a 10-under 69-71-66-206 to finish runner-up. It is the Advance, N.C. native's best collegiate finish since finishing runner-up at the 2015 SEC Championship as a freshman.

"This is an outstanding honor and well deserved," head coach Nick Clinard said of Schlottman. "Ben has been playing outstanding golf the past two tournaments and is a combined 22-under par his last competitive rounds. It's quite impressive and I'm extremely proud of him."

Schlottman, an All-American selection as a freshman, tallied 15 birdies as opposed to just four bogeys over three days of play. His 6-under 66 final round featured seven birdies to just one bogey.

It is the second-straight top-3 finish for Schlottman as he finished for third at the All-American Intercollegiate Championship.

Mancheno, a freshman from Jacksonville, Fla., finished in a tie for 11th at 3-under 71-71-71-213. It is his fifth top-20 finish of the season through seven events played. Four of those have been top-10 finishes.

"It was another solid week for Brandon," Clinard said. "He's been playing very well and learning each week out. He's extremely consistent and has a bright future as an Auburn Tiger."

Mancheno and Schlottman are the first Tiger Golfers to earn weekly SEC recognition since teammate Jovan Rebula was named Freshman of the Week last season on April 12, 2017.

The pair will look to keep the teams' momentum rolling as they look ahead to a trip to Ponte Vedra, Fla. for the John Hayt Invitational March 18 and 19.
