AUBURN, Ala. - As announced by the SEC on Wednesday, the No. 21 Auburn women's tennis team had two players selected to the All-SEC Team in freshman Jaeda Daniel and senior Alizee Michaud.

Daniel, currently the highest ranked Tiger by the ITA in singles at No. 53, was selected to the All-SEC First Team and All-SEC Freshman Team. The Port Charlotte, Fla., Native is one of four freshman this year to be selected to both teams. Daniel is the first Tiger since 2013 to achieve that feat, and she is only the third to do it in program history. Overall, Daniel is the ninth player in Auburn history to be named to the All-SEC First Team and the fourth to be named to the SEC All-Freshman team since the honor came to existence in 2008.

Despite playing through injuries throughout the season, Daniel is 15-9 on the season in singles at the one and two spots, and she was 18-5 in doubles at the one, two and three spots. Three of the freshman's singles wins were also over ranked opponents, with the highest coming over South Carolina's Hadley Berg, who was ranked No. 31 at the time. Daniel was named SEC Freshman of the Week once and has been ranked as high as No. 39 by the ITA. Along with her success in singles, Daniel paired with fellow freshman to go on a six-game winning streak in doubles during the season.

For her efforts this season, senior Alizee Michaud became the 10th Tiger to be selected to the All-SEC Second Team. This is the third straight year Michaud has been named to an All-SEC Team after being named to the All-SEC First Team in the previous two seasons.

Michaud is currently ranked No. 100 in singles by the ITA for her stellar performance this season. The Orlando, Fla., native is 15-6 in singles, spending most of her time at the one spot. Three of those singles wins were also against ranked opponents, with the highest coming over Arkansas' Giulia Pairone, who was ranked No. 52 at the time by the ITA. Michaud is 9-12 in doubles on the season at the one spot, where she and Taylor Russo teamed up to rank as high as No. 47 in the ITA doubles rankings at one point in the season.

Auburn awaits its fate in the NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament as regionals are just around the corner, but official dates have not been announced. The NCAA Women's Tennis selection show is scheduled to air next Tuesday, May 1, at a time TBA on NCAA.com.
