Auburn, Ala. -- Tim Dollman will join the Auburn men's tennis team for the 2018-19 season, head coach Bobby Reynolds announced today.
Dollman, who holds a 13.78 UTR, transfers to Auburn from UAB, where he posted a 17-2 singles record and 14-5 doubles mark this season as a sophomore, earning first team all-Conference USA honors in singles and doubles. The 2017 Conference USA freshman of the year, he was a first-team all-CUSA honoree as a freshman with a 10-5 singles record and an 8-6 mark in doubles. He will be eligible to compete for the Tigers this fall.
"Tim exemplifies all the qualities I am looking for as we build the Auburn men's tennis program," Reynolds said. "His work ethic, unselfishness and passion about the game of tennis will help in molding the Auburn culture for the future. He brings a lot of success with him from UAB, where he played No. 1 for two years and received many accolades in both singles and doubles. I am excited to be able to coach Tim for the next two years and help him reach his highest goals."
Dollman is from Cape Town, South Africa, where he attended Reddom House Constantia. In high school, he compiled an overall record of 31-1 and won the high school tennis league from 2012-15. Dollman won ITF junior tournaments in singles and doubles and was the South African Masters U16 champion. During his career, he has been ranked No. 1 in South Africa for U14 and U16.
