AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" The Auburn track and field program will head to Tucson, Arizona Friday and Saturday to compete in the Jim Click Shootout hosted by the University of Arizona.
Auburn is among six teams competing in the event that includes Arizona, Cincinnati, Illinois, Kansas State and Ohio State. The Auburn men will enter this weekend's event ranked 19th in the latest USTFCCCA Outdoor Rankings.
Auburn will have 19 men and 22 women slated to compete.
The men scheduled to compete for the Tigers include: Nathon Allen, Cade Antonucci, Erik Armes, Evan Blaire, Akeem Bloomfield, Jaron Brooks, Joshua Burks, Justin Carter, Randall Ceneus, Xavier Coakley, Benedict Draghi, Tommy McDonough, John Putnam, Jack Rogers, Mark Rubalcaba, Andy Smith, Jay Spieler, Chris Stone and Chiason Tenkiang.
On the women's side the Tigers will have Jenae Ambrose, Katherine Boone, Dominique Bullock, Ashley Carter, Kylee Carter, Skyler Daniel, Anna Gierow, Jakayla Hand, Deja Hillman, Mercy Kiprop, Caroline Lawrence, Myra Mack, Tyra Massey, Tori McKinley, Louisa McPherson, Kendra Mitchell, Peyton Montgomery, Ivana Muzaric, Frances Patrick, Erin Perkins, Danielle Springer and Presley Weems.
The tigers are coming off a weekend in which they sent only a handful of competitors to the Texas relays so they will be ready to compete. Auburn is looking to garner some momentum as they will serve host to back to back events after this weekend in Tucson.
The Jim Click Shootout will begin Friday at 10 a.m. MST (12 p.m. CST) with the women's hammer throw. Saturday's action will start at 9 a.m. MST (11 a.m. CST).
