Auburn has six former football players in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as that league begins play for the 2018 season. Preseason games finish up June 9 and the CFL regular season is set to begin on June 14.

Darvin Adams, who is the only player in Auburn history with two seasons of 900+ receiving yards, now plays for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and is going into his sixth season in the CFL. In 2017, he was named to the West Division All-Star Team.

Defensive back Demond Washington is also beginning his sixth season in the CFL. He was ranked first in the SEC in kickoff return yards. In 2017 he started seven regular season games and missed eleven games due to an injury. He currently plays for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Former SEC rushing champion Tre Mason signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in May, 2018. He is a teammate in Saskatchewan with his former Auburn quarterback from the 2013 SEC champion and BCS title game team Nick Marshall, who is playing defensive back in the CFL.

Wide receiver Pete Berryman signed with the Edmonton Eskimos as a free agent in May, 2018. He appeared in two games with the Auburn Tigers as a tight end in 2016 and 2017. His father, Tim Berryman, spent seven years playing in the CFL. D'haquille Williams currently plays slot receiver for the Eskimos and averaged 15.5 yards per catch last season.

The CFL plays its Grey Cup championship game on November 25 in Edmonton. ESPN and ESPN+ will broadcast all CFL regular season and postseason games to the U.S. market.
