Dr. Jos Edison, joined the Auburn family in 2016. Edison comes to Auburn University from Virginia Tech where he completed his VCOM Sports Medicine Fellowship serving the Hokies for the 2015-2016 athletic year.
Edison, a native of Blakely, Ga., first realized his love for sports medicine while playing football for Valdosta State University, where he graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology. He went on to medical school at Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Blacksburg, Va., before completing his Family Medicine residency at Spartanburg Regional in Spartanburg, S.C.. Edison continues his professional partnership with VCOM as an Assistant Professor of Sports Medicine and OMM at the Auburn campus.
Edison and his wife, Kim, have three sons, Tyler, Camden and Mason
