AUBURN, Ala. – A trio of Tigers on the Auburn equestrian team have had a solid summer so far on the AQHA circuit.
Rising sophomore Taylor Searles has had a full summer filled with a wealth of success. The Scottsdale, Ariz., product kicked off her winning ways at the Surf and Turf Circuit in Del Mar, Calif., May 15-18. She captured the Youth Western Horsemanship crown as well as Youth Western Pleasure, while taking home the Youth All-Around Champion title.
In addition, Searles took home the Youth Horsemanship, Youth Pleasure, and Youth Aged Mares circuit titles in California.
Most recently, Searles competed at the Cornhusker Classic AQHA Horse Show in Lincoln, Neb., June 15-24. She took home a handful of titles from the show, including Youth Western Riding Circuit Champion, Youth Horsemanship, Youth Western Pleasure, and Senior Western Riding.
Classmate Deanna Green also had success at the Cornhusker Classic, competing in the Amateur class. The 2018 SEC Freshman Horsemanship Rider of the Year and All-American won the Amateur Western Pleasure Circuit to kick start her summer.
Incoming freshman Emma Brown picked up big wins at the Northern Ohio Quarter Horse Association Summer Six Pack in Findlay, Ohio, June 21-24. She took home the Youth Horsemanship Circuit, Youth Trail, Youth Showmanship and Youth Pleasure, while also being the 14-18 High Point All-Around Champion.
