Incoming freshman Anika Bolčíková picked up a big win in the Slovak Amateur Open last week to highlight a busy week of action for Auburn women's golfers in summer competition.

Bolčíková, from Martin, Slovakia, won her native country's national amateur championship with rounds of 73-71-74-72=290, winning by one shot at Hruba Borsa.

"It was a great tournament," she said. "I played with good players and the conditions were very difficult, a very strong wind."

Bolčíková was one of two Tigers to earn a win on the week. Rising sophomore Mychael O'Berry was co-medalist at the U.S. Girls Junior qualifier in Montgomery on Thursday, earning a spot in the U.S. Girls Junior Championship later this month in Pebble Beach, Calif.

In other action, rising junior Elena Hualde earned the No. 5 seed in match play at the Ladies British Amateur in Manchester, U.K., shooting 70-74=144 (E) in the stroke-play qualifying rounds. She would drop her first-round match, however, to Norway's Emilie Øverås, 3 & 2.

Also, redshirt freshman Brooke Sansom earned a third-place finish at the Georgia Top 60 Women's Classic, posting rounds of 71-70=141 (-3) at The Manor G&CC in Alpharetta, Ga.
