Ten Tigers receive USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards

Auburn, Ala.—Ten athletes including six men and four women earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors during the 2017-18 track and field season.
 
The Auburn men honored include freshman Cade Antonucci, senior Justin Carter, senior Randall Ceneus, senior Wesley Curles, freshman Noah Igbinoghene and senior Mark Rubalcaba. It was the third consecutive honor for Rubalcaba, while Carter and Curles were recognized for the second time.
 
Auburn women honored included junior Jenae Ambrose, junior Kylee Carter, sophomore Erin Perkins and senior Jonielle Smith. Smith was honored for the third time by the USTFCCCA and it was the second such award for Ambrose.
 
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
 
For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.
 
For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
