AUBURN, Ala. – A week into preseason camp, the Auburn soccer team is set to take on its first opponent of the 2018 season in an exhibition match at Clemson. Kickoff at Riggs Field is scheduled for Wednesday at 5 p.m. CT.
Coming off a program record fourth straight appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the Tigers 2018 roster consists of 27 players, including four seniors, six juniors, six sophomores and 11 freshmen.
Wednesday's match will mark the team's 10th against Clemson all-time and fifth against the ACC foe since 2013. Auburn also traveled to Clemson a season ago and suffered a hard-fought double overtime loss to the homestanding Tigers.
Following Wednesday's match, Auburn will close out the preseason with an exhibition vs. Kennesaw State at the Auburn Soccer Complex on Saturday, Aug. 11 at 6:30 p.m. CT.
Prior to Saturday's exhibition, fans are encouraged to attend the annual Auburn Fan Day presented by Golden Flake in the Indoor Practice Facility and Watson Field House from 3:30-5:30 p.m. For more information on Fan Day, click here.
