Auburn Hunt Seat Summer Update

AUBURN, Ala. – Check out what our hunt seat riders have been up to in the final edition of summer update for this crew.
 
A trio of Tigers found success at the FEI North American Youth Championships, August 1-5, in North Salem, N.Y.
 
Incoming freshman Emma Kurtz was the gold medalist in Juniors Team Championship, while also finishing fourth in Juniors Individual Championship. Classmate McKayla Langmeier earned bronze in the Young Riders Individual with sophomore Taylor St. Jacques taking home ninth in the same event. St. Jacques was also awarded the Style of Riding Award by the Ground Jury.
 
In addition to her success in New York, Langmeier qualified to compete at the FEI Youth Nations Cup Final in Opglabbeel, Belgium, this September.
 
Another incoming freshman in Meghan Knapic was the big winner of the $5,000 Devoucoux Hunter Prix at HITS IV and champion in the Junior Hunters.
 
Knapic and classmate Jessica West were busy at the Junior Hunter Finals as Knapic took third in the Large Junior Hunters 16-17 and West finished sixth in the Small Junior Hunters 16-17.
 
Three sophomores in Carly Hoft, Ericka Koscinski and Caroline Hudon picked up success in the past couple weeks. Hoft finished as champion in the Adult Hunters at Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show, while Hudon took home top ribbons in Adult Jumpers at the Summer in Auburn Classic. Koscinski added to her busy summer, winning the High Adult Jumpers and the NAL/WIHS Jumper Classic at the Manchester Horse Show.
 
In addition, senior Hayley Iannotti was circuit champion in the 3'6 performance hunters at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, while junior Lillian Wagner was the champion in High Adult Jumpers at HITS IV and also took home top ribbons in High Adult Jumpers at Princeton Show Jumping.
