After appearing in 40 games for Triple-A El Paso, Trey Wingenter became the 51st Auburn player to make it to the big leagues and made his MLB debut on Aug. 7 at Milwaukee. Wingenter retired a trio of National League All-Stars in order, including a strikeout, to finish off a Padres win. The big right-hander finished two more games during the week and struck out a pair of batters in each contest. He is yet to allow a hit in his first three appearances and 3.0 innings pitched.  

Dan Gamahce (IF, Harrisburg Senators – Double-A Affiliate of Washington Nationals)
Season stats (105 games): .277/.376/.370, 37 R, 98 H, 19 2B, 1 3B, 4 HR, 39 RBI, 48 BB, 95 K, 2 SB
Gamahce is coming off back-to-back three-hit performances and is batting .419 (13-for-31) in his last 10 games. After going 3-for-5 with a run and RBI against Trenton Saturday, he went 3-for-4 with two runs and his fourth home run of the season Sunday. Gamache ranks sixth in the Eastern League in on-base percentage and tied for seventh in the league in walks.

Keegan Thompson (RHP, Tennessee Smokies – Double-A Affiliate of Chicago Cubs)
Season stats (21 games): 8-4, 2.96 ERA, 112.1 IP, 88 H, 40 R, 37 ER, 29 BB, 95 K
Thompson has allowed just five runs in his last eight starts for the Smokies – good for a 5-0 record and 1.08 ERA – and has given up three or fewer hits in five of those outings. The right-hander has won his last three Double-A starts and five straight decisions since June 30. He threw 6.0 scoreless innings and allowed just three hits with three strikeouts and no walk against Biloxi Saturday. Thompson was ranked the No. 13 prospect in the Cubs organization by MLB Pipeline last month.

Damek Tomscha (IF/OF, Reading Fightin Phils – Double-A Affiliate of Philadelphia Phillies)
Season stats (101 games): .276/.335/.464, 50 R, 100 H, 15 2B, 1 3B, 17 HR, 60 RBI, 28 BB, 62 K, 1 SB
Tomscha turned in his third multi-hit game in a span of six contests Saturday and hit a three-run home run that proved to be the difference in a 8-5 win against Binghamton Sunday. He has now recorded career highs in home runs and RBI this season.

Ben Braymer (LHP, Potomac Nationals – Single-A Affiliate of Washington Nationals)
Season stats (23 games): 9-3, 2.58 ERA, 97.2 IP, 85 H, 31 R, 28 ER, 26 BB, 95 K
Braymer turned in arguably his best performance of the season as he pitched 5.0 scoreless innings and struck out a career-high 10 batters while allowing only two hits against Myrtle Beach on Aug. 4. He is coming off a 5.0-inning effort in which he allowed two runs on four hits with five strikeouts on Aug. 9 and has set career-bests in wins, ERA, appearances, innings pitched and strikeouts this season.  

Justin Camp (RHP, Wilmington Blue Rocks – Single-A Affiliate of Kansas City Royals)
Season Stats (32 games): 2-1, 3.17 ERA, 48.1 IP, 47 H, 23 R, 17 ER, 21 BB, 37 K
Camp has allowed just one earned run in his last seven appearances and has turned in a 2.16 ERA in his last 16.2 innings pitched and 10 trips to the mound. He is coming off a season-high 3.0 innings on Aug. 10 and allowed one run on three hits with a strikeouts. The Decatur, Alabama, native made his Triple-A debut on July 3 and struck out four batters in 1.2 innings of work.

Trey Cochran-Gill (RHP, Stockton Ports – Single-A Affiliate of Oakland Athletics)
Season stats (33 games): 1-2, 4.03 ERA, 51.1 IP, 62 H, 23 R, 23 ER, 19 BB, 38 K
Cochran-Gill was assigned to Single-A Stockton on July 3 and has allowed just three earned runs in 11 trips to the mound and 15.0 innings pitched during the span, good for a 1.69 ERA. Cochran-Gill has turned in four straight scoreless outings and has allowed his ERA with Stockton from 2.89 to 1.69 during the span.   

Anfernee Grier (OF, Visalia Rawhide – Single-A Affiliate of Arizona Diamondbacks)
Season stats (26 games): .222/.314/.356, 12 R, 20 H, 7 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 8 RBI, 10 BB, 29 K, 4 SB
After hitting .357 in nine games with the AZL Diamondback, Grier was activated from the disabled list on Aug. 1. He went 1-for-3 with a walk and run scored in his first game back with Visalia and hit his first home run of the season on Aug. 9.
 
Gabe Klobosits (RHP, Potomac Nationals – Single-A Affiliate of Washington Nationals)

Klobosits was placed on disabled list on May 15. He was ranked the No. 23 prospect in the Nationals organization by MLB Pipeline last month.

Casey Mize (RHP, Lakeland Flying Tigers – Single-A Affiliate of Detroit Tigers)
Season stats (4 games): 0-1, 3.97 ERA, 11.1 IP, 9 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 2 BB, 11 K
Mize was assigned to the Lakeland Flying Tigers on July 31 and turned in 3.0 scoreless innings while striking out four in his Single-A debut. He has allowed five runs on eight hits in his most recent two starts and 6.1 innings pitched. The No. 1 overall pick of the 2018 MLB Draft secured the second largest signing bonus in draft history and largest in the bonus pool era, signing with the Tigers on June 25.

Joshua Palacios (OF, Dunedin Blue Jays – Single-A Affiliate of Toronto Blue Jays)

Palacios is riding a 13-game hitting streak and is 7-for-11 with four runs, one double, one triple, one home run and seven RBI in his last two games. He turned in season-high four hits, including his fourth tripe of the season, Saturday before turning in three hits, including a double and home run, and matching a season-high with four RBI Sunday. The outfielder has spent the entirety of the season with Dunedin and lead the Florida State League in hits, while also ranking third in RBI and total bases, tied for third in doubles, tied for fifth in triples and eighth in average.

Jonah Todd (OF, Island Empire 66ers – Single-A Affiliate of Los Angeles Angels)

Todd has tripled twice in the last five games and ranks tied for fourth with seven on the season. He has turned in career highs in hits, triples and walks while matching his career best in doubles this season.   

Brendan Venter (IF, Rome Braves – Single-A Affiliate of Atlanta Braves)

Venter turned in his first game with a pair of home runs at Greenville on Aug. 3 and drove in three runs in the game. He blasted his fifth home run of the season – a three-run shot – in the sixth inning against West Virginia Sunday.  

Brett Wright (C, Vancouver Canadians – Single-A Short Season Affiliate of Toronto Blue Jays)

Wright is currently part of a three-man catching platoon for the Canadians. Four of his seven professional hits are home runs, including his most recent on Saturday.

Luke Jarvis (IF, Batavia Muckdogs – Single-A Short Season Affiliate of Miami Marlins)

Jarvis is hitting .265 in his last 10 games and has raised his average 22 points during the span. He hit his first professional home run and turned in his first multi-RBI game Friday before collecting a season-high three hits, including a pair of doubles, Sunday.

He tossed 1.2 scoreless innings of relief and struck out four batters in his Single-A debut on Aug. 5 and most recently allowed a pair of runs in an inning of work Friday. Mitchell has a 7.0 K/BB ratio in his first 12 appearances as a professional.

Calvin Coker (RHP, Arizona League Athletics – Rookie Affiliate of Oakland Athletics)
