Former Tigers garner postseason awards from National Pro Fastpitch

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Former Auburn softball standouts Emily Carosone, Victoria Draper and Jade Rhodes earned postseason accolades following the 2018 season, National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) announced.

Auburn's three honorees were the most by any program in the Southeastern Conference and tied Oklahoma for the most former players honored by the NPF.

Carosone was tabbed as the league's top second baseman, earning All-NPF honors while playing for the Chicago Bandits, and was named the Home Run Champion after blasting 12 home runs. The former All-American ranked in the top 10 in the league in average (.323), RBI (31), runs (22) and on-base percentage (.425). She was also the NPF's top slugger at .750.

Draper was named All-NPF At Large following a successful rookie season with the Beijing Shougang Eagles. The Moulton, Ala. native had the second-highest average in the league at .412 and the third-most hits with 47. She also ranked fifth in on-base percentage at .432 and five stolen bases, good for eighth in the league.

Rhodes, a member of the Cleveland Comets, earned the NPF's top fielding honor as she was the recipient of the Gold Glove Award. She committed just two errors in a league-high 369 chances. The Sarasota, Fla. native and former All-American joined her fellow alums on the All-NPF team named as the league's best first baseman. At the plate, Rhodes posted top-10 totals in hits (37) and doubles (nine).
