AUBURN, Ala. – With one week to go before the regular season, the Auburn volleyball team will travel to Georgia Tech for an exhibition match Saturday afternoon. First serve is set for 3 p.m. CT in O'Keefe Gymnasium.

Admission is free and parking is available free of charge in the McCamish and East O'Keefe parking lots.

"We wanted to go into another team's home environment to challenge our young team before the regular season started," head coach Rick Nold said. "It's a good time for us to see how some of the things we've been working will stack up against someone else. And we're looking forward to trying a couple different things on the court."

Nold is in his eighth season on the Plains and holds a 108-101 record with the Tigers. The 2018 edition of Auburn volleyball boasts a team full of depth, returning a handful of starters with a wealth of experience. The group is led by senior Brenna McIlroy and junior Gwyn Jones, Shaina White, and Karis Beasley.

In addition to the competitive Southeastern Conference, the Tigers will face 10 NCAA Tournament participants from 2017, including six out of conference. The squad opens the year against two of these 10 teams, hosting High Point and Michigan in Auburn Arena for the annual War Eagle Invitational. The two-day tournament is set for Aug. 24-25.
