Starting XI

Auburn earned a pair of wins last week, defeating Samford in the season opener, 4-0, before downing No. 18 South Florida, 2-1, in the home opener. It marks the first time in three years the team has started 2-0.

Auburn's six goals in its first two matches of 2018 are the teams most thru two contests since scoring 10 goals in 2008.

Junior midfielder Bri Folds was named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week after recording her first career brace at Samford and assisting on the game-winning goal vs. South Florida.

Auburn and UAB have met on 10 previous occasions, but only once since 2008. The Tigers hold a 6-4-0 advantage in the all-time series and have won six straight matchups. Auburn is also 4-2-0 against UAB in matches played at the Auburn Soccer Complex.

Coming off last week's performances, Auburn entered the United Soccer Coaches and Top Drawer Soccer polls at No. 24 and No. 25, respectively.

Scouting UAB

UAB opened its season against South Alabama last Friday at suffered a 1-0 loss.

The Blazers are coming off a season in which the team posted a 13-4-3, tied for its second best win total in program history.

UAB returns two of its top goal scorers from last season in Caroline Kehrer and Megan Hudgens, who each registered seven goals in 2017.

Scouting Louisiana

Louisiana is 0-1-1 this season after suffering a 6-0 loss to Ole Miss in the season opener before drawing with Sam Houston State, 1-1, at home.

Sarah Kozlowski has accounted for the Ragin' Cajuns lone goal and was assisted by Erika Sierra.

Louisiana takes on Northwestern State Friday at 7 p.m. before traveling to The Plains.

Player to Watch: Jessie Gerow

Gerow scored the first goal of her Auburn career to cap off a 4-0 win in the season opener at Samford and followed her performance with the Tigers' first goal in a 2-1 win in the home opener vs. No. 18 South Floirda. The junior forward would become the first Auburn player with a goal in three straight matches if she is to score Friday vs. UAB.
