AUBURN, Ala. – Former Auburn baseball stars Tim Hudson, Gabe Gross, Gregg Olson, Casey Mize and others will take part in the 2018 Baseball Legends of the Plains Fantasy Camp scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 26-27.
The camp is a great opportunity for baseball enthusiasts to spend a weekend with former Auburn baseball legends as well as current head coach Butch Thompson. Auburn legends will take part in all aspects of the weekend as participants will get to learn from the best, interact with fan favorites and attend exclusive camp-only events.
"Seeing the turnout we had last year and the impact it had on the campers was incredible," Thompson said. "For them to get to interact with legends like Tim Hudson, and for those legends to want to come back to Auburn is special. We want to build a memorable experience for the campers and have them feel like a part of and get a behind-the-scenes look into our program."
The Baseball Legends of the Plains Fantasy Camp is open to adults age 21 and older. The cost is $750 per participant, and a $300 deposit is required at initial registration. Final payments are due by Thursday, Oct. 25.
Campers may access a registration form online or by e-mailing legends@auburn.edu. Checks must be made payable to Legends of the Plains Fantasy Camp. Registration forms can be dropped off at the baseball office or mailed to Baseball Fantasy Camp, PO Box 351, Auburn, AL 36831.
Camp highlights include a "Talking Auburn Baseball" session with Coach Thompson and the Auburn baseball staff, taking batting practice under the lights on Hitchcock Field at Plainsman Park, a "Legends Tales" breakfast featuring a panel of former Auburn stars for a Q&A session, attending the Auburn vs. Western Carolina fall exhibition game, and a dinner at Tim Hudson's house.
