BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Auburn soccer senior Ashton Brock has been named to the 2018 Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, the conference office announced Tuesday.

The SEC Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts. This marks the 14th consecutive year the conference has announced the team.

Despite missing the 2018 season with an injury, Brock has remained an important part of the team, specifically from a leadership standpoint.

Off the pitch, Brock has been a constant figure in the community during her time on The Plains. She has served as a member of the Auburn CONNECT Leadership Program since May 2017 – a program intended to help student-athletes transition into a healthy and fun life in Auburn – and has played a major role as the program's Executive Student Assistant Director (June 2017-January 2018) and Executive Director (January 2018-present).

The Dade City, Florida, native has also been a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success since January 2017 and is an active member of Church of the Highlands. Brock has helped maintain homes as a part of Serve Day and has made trips to Columbus, Georgia, to help provide for the homeless.

Lastly, Brock has helped organize and staff Auburn Ignite each of the past two years. Auburn Ignite is a night of worship sponsored by the Auburn Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Brock and the Tigers wrap up the regular season with the Iron Bowl of Soccer against Alabama (8-7-2, 2-5-1 SEC) scheduled for Thursday at 8 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
