Tigers pick up two wins to close out Marliss Gruver Invite

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn picked up a pair of wins on the court Sunday morning as the inaugural Marliss Gruver Fall Invitational came to a close at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.
 
Junior Taylor Russo claimed third place in singles flight 2 with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Miami's Daniella Roldan. Freshman Annabella Bowen earned her first win with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Arkansas's Shwetha Prabakar in flight 4. And freshman Sophia Graver earned a third-place finish in the first flight after her opponent withdrew with an injury.
 
Overall, the Tigers earned 11 wins over the weekend, including a flight championship in No. 1 doubles for Graver and Russo.
 
Auburn will be back in action Nov. 7-11, possibly in two locations. Some individuals may be selected for the ITA Winter Nationals in Surprise, Ariz., and others will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., for the Florida State Invite.
