VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. – The No. 14 Auburn men's golf team is in fourth following the first two rounds of the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate Monday afternoon at Old Overton Club.
Three Tigers are in the top 15 after two circuits of the par-70 course. Brandon Mancheno is fourth at 4-under (70-66--136), Jacob Solomon is seventh at 1-under (68-71--139) and Jovan Rebula is tied for 12th at 1-over (71-70--141).
Trace Crowe and Ryan Knop are in a nine-way tie for 34th after both shooting 6-over (74-72--146).
In total, Auburn secured 34 birdies with 18 coming on the front nine and 16 on the back nine.
Mancheno carded seven birdies to go along with a team-high 26 pars, while Rebula earned a club-high 10 birdies.
BYU leads the field at 7-under (553), followed by No. 3 Alabama (554), No. 19 Arkansas (555), No. 14 Auburn (562), Charlotte (563), Mississippi State (567), Minnesota (570), UAB (581), No. 18 UNLV (582), Samford (595), Air Force (596) and Army (603).
Auburn is paired with Charlotte and Mississippi State for the final round of the annual tournament off the No. 1 tee box, beginning at 8 a.m. CT. Live scoring is available on Golfstat.com.
