The Tigers welcome the No. 3 team in Division II to The Plains that reached the Sweet 16 last season.
"We're excited about opening up the season tomorrow playing a Lincoln Memorial team that has averaged 27 wins over the last several years," head coach Bruce Pearl said. "They play fast and are extremely well-coached. I've known Coach [Josh] Shertz for a number of years when I was at Tennessee. They'll bring a good team.
"They don't taste losing. They've were 32-2 last year and have won 30 games for four consecutive years. They run good stuff and will be hard to guard."
Auburn returns 68 percent of its scoring from the 2017-18 team that won 26 games, captured the third Southeastern Conference title in program history and made the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2003.
The Preseason All-SEC backcourt of Bryce Brown and Jared Harper enter their senior and junior seasons, respectively, and are on national award watch lists. Brown is on the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award Watch List, while Harper was selected to the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award Watch List. Each list has just 20 members from across the country.
Austin Wiley joins his teammates by receiving national attention as he is on the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award Watch List, given annually to the nation's top center.
Auburn enters the season ranked No. 11 in the country in the preseason AP poll. It is the highest the Tigers have been ranked to open a season since 1999.
Auburn begins the regular season Nov. 6 against South Alabama. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. CT at Auburn Arena on SEC Network and Auburn Sports Network.
