AUBURN, Ala. – Fresh off one of the greatest seasons in Auburn men's golf history, including a Southeastern Conference title and a spot in the NCAA Championship semifinals, the Tigers have put together another elite recruiting class.

Austin Coggin, Hal Dove, C.J. Easley and Alex Vogelsong have signed a national letter of intent to attend Auburn University and play for the men's golf team in 2019-20, head coach Nick Clinard announced Friday.

"This group is one of the most skilled in the country and has the potential to lead Auburn to great heights," Clinard said. "They have the competitive fire, commitment and passion to play at the highest level in the SEC and nationally. Coach Maggard and I are looking forward to them being on campus and helping them chase their dreams."

Coggin, a native of Birmingham, Ala., is ranked as the No. 1 golfer in Alabama and No. 34 player in the country, according to the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings. Coggin was the runner-up at the 38th annual Bubba Conlee Golf Tournament earlier this year. He also was the 7A High School Individual Champion in the state of Alabama in 2016.

"Austin has shown the capability to compete among the nation's best and is one of the more competitive young men I've recruited over the past few years," Clinard said. "He likes to compete and we have high expectations for him once he steps foot on campus."

Dove hails from Dothan, Ala. and is tabbed as the No. 3 player in the Heart of Dixie. He is also a top-100 golfer as he currently sits at No. 64 nationally, according to Junior Golf Scoreboard. Dove has had a wealth of success in his final season as a prep as he was the 2018 Future Masters Champion and 2018 Junior PGA Qualifier Medalist.

"Hal is a talented young man with an exceptional work ethic," Clinard stated. "He has a huge upside in the game and will definitely help us compete for championships. His passion for the game is incredible and our expectations are high for him and his future."

Easley is a three-time state champion in the state of Mississippi. He is the No. 2 player in the state and the No. 38 player in the nation, according to the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings. The Oxford, Miss. native broke on to the scene when he won the prestigious Bubba Conlee Golf Tournament in 2016.

"C.J. is a great player that has the potential to play at an extremely high level and loves Auburn," Clinard mentioned. "He's a physically strong young man that is well-liked, very coachable and has the intangibles it takes to be an outstanding player moving forward."

Vogelsong, a native of Palm City, Fla., is ranked as the No. 3 player in the country according to both the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings and Junior Golf Scoreboard. Vogelsong was selected as the 2018 Sun Sentinel Golfer of the Year. He also earned high honors as he was named a 2017 Rolex All-American.

"Alex is a highly-ranked player that is very skilled." Clinard said. "He doesn't have many weaknesses in his game and works diligently on his body in the gym, as well as his game.  He should make an instant impact on our program as he's proven to be a very seasoned player."
