BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Auburn's backcourt of Bryce Brown and Jared Harper were selected Preseason All-SEC by the head coaches in the Southeastern Conference, the league office announced Tuesday.

In total, 16 players were voted onto the annual list with eight on the first team and eight on the second team. Both Brown and Harper were chosen to the second team.

Brown was recently tabbed to the 2019 Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award Watch List, while Harper earned a spot on the 2019 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award Watch List.

After leading Auburn to its third conference title in program history last season, both players were voted All-SEC. Brown picked up first team honors from the Associated Press and second team laurels from the league coaches. Harper was picked to the second team by both the Associated Press and SEC head coaches.

As a team, the Tigers were picked to finish third in the league by the media - the highest predicted finish since the 1999-2000 season when they were chosen to win the SEC.

Auburn tips off its season Nov. 6 vs. South Alabama at 8 p.m. CT on the SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network. For tickets, please visit AUBTIX.com.
