AUBURN, Ala. – Mason Greer comes from a baseball family and is set to continue his athletic and academic career at the collegiate level after signing with head coach Butch Thompson and the Tigers last month.

"Seeing my dad play professionally made me also want to make a career out of baseball," Greer said. "Taking that next step and signing with a program like Auburn was very satisfying because I know that a lot of hard work has started to pay off."

Greer hails from Colleyville, Texas, and is a product of Colleyville Heritage High School. After being named a 2018 Perfect Game Preseason Underclass High Honorable Mention All-American, Greer enters his senior season in 2019 as a top-400 player nationally.

"I'm very excited to move from Texas to Alabama because both of my parents are from Alabama, and it will be like another home since the majority of my family lives there," Greer added. "My family doesn't get to come to games very often, so it will be great to have them there. I'm also extremely excited to have the opportunity to learn from and play for the best coaches around."
