AUBURN, Ala. – Kelli Murphy, who finished her Auburn women's golf career this past spring, was named a 2017-18 All-American Scholar by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, the WGCA announced Tuesday.
Murphy became the first player in Auburn history to be a four-time selection as a WGCA All-American Scholar. It marks the 11th straight season that at least one Auburn golfer has received the award. Golfers were required to have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA to be considered.
Murphy, who came to Auburn from Elgin, S.C., was the Tigers' top player in scoring average for the 2017-18 season, finishing with a 73.55 average for the year. She finished her career having played in all 42 team events over her four seasons and with a career scoring average of 74.67, which ranks ninth in Auburn history. She earned her degree from Auburn in communications in May.
