AUBURN, Ala. - Football victories over two top-ranked opponents, men's basketball's SEC championship run and baseball's ride to a regional title highlight Auburn's takeover of the SEC Network on Friday, Aug. 3.
Beginning at 11 p.m. CT on Thursday, Auburn fans can relive classic moments from 2017-18, a season in which the Tigers claimed championships in football, men's basketball, golf and equestrian.
Nine Auburn athletic events and two SEC Storied documentaries will air during Auburn's 24-hour programing slot.
Men's golf's dramatic victory at the SEC Championship tees off the Tigers' takeover, from 11 p.m. Thursday until Friday at 2 a.m. CT.
Wells Padgett's 20-foot birdie putt on No. 18 secured Auburn's match play victory over Alabama, giving the Tigers their first SEC title since 2002.
Soccer's 2017 shutout of No. 10 Florida will air Friday from 2-4 a.m. CT. It was the Tigers' third consecutive win over the Gators and fourth in the past five meetings.
The SEC Storied documentary, "Mighty Ruthie," will air from 4-5 a.m. CT. An Olympic gold medalist and Auburn women's basketball legend, Ruthie Bolton overcame domestic abuse to become an advocate for women.
The next offering in Auburn's SEC Network takeover could be called "Breakfast with Casey." From 5-7:30 a.m. CT, Casey Mize's no-hitter in baseball's 6-0 win over Northeastern on March 9 will replay. Three months after his no-hitter, Mize became the No. 1 overall pick in the Major League Baseball draft by the Detroit Tigers.
From 7:30-9:30 a.m. CT, men's basketball's SEC championship-clinching 79-70 victory over South Carolina will re-air. Auburn cut down the nets on March 3, celebrating its first conference championship since 1999 and third overall.
After "Brunch with Bruce," a replay of gymnastics' 2016 win over Alabama will run from 9:30-11 a.m. CT.
At 11 a.m., "Rowdy," an SEC Storied documentary of three-time Olympic gold medalist and Auburn swimming star Rowdy Gaines will air.
At noon, baseball returns with a 15-7 win over N.C. State to clinch the Raleigh Regional. In advancing to a Super Regional for the first time in 19 years, Auburn went 3-0, outscoring opponents 40-12.
Auburn's SEC takeover focuses on football's November to remember, beginning with the Tigers' 40-17 win over No. 1 Georgia from 3-6 p.m. CT.
Men's basketball returns in prime time, featuring Auburn's 90-71 win over Alabama on Feb. 21 from 6-8 p.m. CT. Playing without starters Anfernee McLemore and Mustapha Heron, the Tigers routed their in-state rivals, closing in on the SEC title, a win Auburn coach Bruce Pearl described as "special beyond compare."
Auburn's SEC Network takeover concludes with football's 2017 Iron Bowl win Friday from 8-11 p.m. CT. On Nov. 25, the Tigers claimed the SEC Western Division Championship, beating Alabama 26-14, Auburn's second victory over a No. 1 opponent in three weeks.
This is the fourth year for the SEC Network takeover, during which each of the conference's 14 schools are given 24 hours to program content that promotes their institution.
