AUBURN, Ala. – Coming off two more wins, Auburn soccer (4-0-0) has risen to No. 17 in the United Soccer Coaches poll and No. 21 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll this week.

The Tigers are the fourth-highest ranked team in the Southeastern Conference behind Texas A&M, Tennessee and South Carolina and are ranked third in the Southeast Region according to United Soccer Coaches.

Auburn is 4-0-0 to start the season for the second time since 2006 after defeating UAB and Louisiana last week.

The Tigers hosted the Blazers last Friday and blitzed the in-state foe, 6-0, behind three first-half and second-half goals. Six different players scored in the match, and the goal total matched the team's highest since 2008.

Two days later, Auburn hosted Louisiana and defeated the Ragin' Cajuns, 4-1, behind three second-half scores. The Tigers trailed for the first time this season, but the deficit lasted only 1:13 before putting the game away with three goals in the final 22 minutes of the match.

Auburn outshot its opponents 51-9 in the two contests, including 25-3 in shots on goal. The 10 goals scored by nine different players over the two-game span were the most since 2000.

Auburn leads the country in points (53) and assists (21) and ranks second in the nation in goals (16). The team's 16 goals through four matches are its most since 2000 and second most in program history.
