AUBURN, Ala. – Right-handed pitcher Mason Barnett is the last of six hurlers to be announced after signing with Auburn and head coach Butch Thompson in November.
 
"(Signing day) was a dream come true," Barnett said. "It's an honor and blessing to join the program, and I can't wait to get on campus."
 
Barnett, a product of Cartersville, Georgia, is rated by Perfect Game as the No. 170 overall player in the 2019 class, including the 21st-rated player and 10th-best right-hander in the state. He was invited to both the 2017 Perfect Game Underclass All-American Games and the 2018 Perfect Game National Showcase.

"It's extremely exciting to know that I will have some of college baseball's best coaches sharing their knowledge and wisdom with me," Barnett added. "I don't think many players can say they have two of the most highly respected pitching coaches at their disposal. To know they will have my back is powerful, and it makes me confident in my future. They care about their players and want what's best for them. I feel their track record is a testament to that."

Auburn baseball will continue to announce its 2019 signing class with the addition of new student-athletes during the next week.
 
The Tigers begin the 2019 campaign with a three-game series against Georgia Southern from Feb. 15-17.
