As the championship season nears, the Auburn swimming and diving programs continue to impress, with both teams going into this weekend's home meet against Florida as ranked teams.
Auburn's women made the biggest jump in the latest CSCAA Top 25, moving up 10 spots from No. 17 to No. 7, the program's highest ranking since it was ranked No.6 in the second poll of the 2015-16 season. The team is currently 4-2, 1-1 SEC, in dual meets this season, with wins over current No. 5 Virginia and then-No. 23 Alabama. The women are also the highest-ranked SEC team, ahead of fellow top-10 teams No. 8 Florida, No. 9 Texas A&M and No. 10 Kentucky.
Auburn's men are back in the Top 25 at No. 25, returning for the first time since the preseason poll, when they were also No. 25. Despite falling to No. 2 Texas in its last dual meet, Auburn was able to earn five individual wins against the three-time defending national champions. That dual meet win came on the heels of a 164-94 win over current No. 19 Georgia Tech.
Auburn will compete its final dual meet of the season on Saturday when it plays host to Florida. Diving begins at 10 a.m. and swimming begins at 11 a.m. at the Martin Aquatics Center. The meet will be streamed live on SECN+ beginning at 11 a.m. Admission is free.
