AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn men's tennis team faced its first road test of the spring season, falling 6-1 against Harvard in a neutral-site match Friday afternoon at the Baumgardner Tennis Facility in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Harvard posted a 1-0 lead after doubles play, clinching that point when Andy Zhou and Logan Weber gained a close 7-5 win over Auburn's Brandon Laubser and Tad Maclean on court one.

In singles, Auburn took the first set to a tiebreaker on three courts (Tad Maclean on 4, Filippo Mora on 3 and Michael Durham on 6) and forced four matches into a third set. Filippo Mora, playing his first match for the Tigers, was a 6-7, 5-2 winner after Brian Shi retired from the competition, but the Crimson captured the match 6-1.

On court five, Auburn's Tim Dollman fell in three sets, 6-2, 3-5, 6-3, and on court four, Harvard's Harris Walker outlasted Maclean 6-7, 6-3, 6-2. Harvard's Steven Sun won a third-set tiebreaker 10-4 over Durham to capture that point 6-7 (7), 7-5, 1-0 (4).

Auburn, now 7-1, will face Northwestern Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in another neutral-site contest at the Baumgardner Tennis Facility in Tuscaloosa.
