AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn's swimming and diving programs will be split up for the first weekend of the new year. Auburn's divers will be in Athens, Georgia, for the Georgia Diving Invite Friday through Sunday while Auburn's swimmers will play host to Georgia Tech at 10 am Saturday at the Martin Aquatics Center.

Auburn's divers have three more chances to compete before next month's SEC Championships and this weekend's invitational annually hosts some of the top divers in the area. Three of Auburn's divers (Alison Maillard, Scott Lazeroff and Conner Pruitt) all have collected Zone Qualifying Scores on all three boards while Logan Andrews has a 1-meter Zone Score entering the weekend.

For Auburn's swimmers the meet against Georgia Tech represents the first time to race competitively since a December 7 dual meet against Alabama.

Auburn and Georgia Tech have already competed against one another when Auburn traveled to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech Invite, Nov. 15-17. Auburn's women finished second at the meet, six spots ahead of Tech, while Auburn's men were sixth and the Tech men were third.

Auburn's women go into the meet ranked No. 17 in the latest CSCAA Top 25 poll and Georgia Tech's men are No. 20 in the poll. Both the Auburn men and the Tech women are unranked.

Admission to Saturday's home meet is free.
