AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn women's tennis team will look to stay unbeaten at home when the Tigers wrap up a six-match home stand Sunday with a pair of matches against Samford and Georgia State.

Auburn (9-1) will face Samford at 10 a.m., then take on Georgia State at 2 p.m. at the Yarbrough Tennis Center. Admission for all home Auburn tennis matches is free.

"This is one of the hardest doubleheaders that we've probably ever played," Auburn head coach Lauren Spencer said. "Georgia State just barely lost to Alabama 4-3. They've got some really good players on their team that are high-energy, scrappy. Samford always has some really good competition, especially at the top of the lineup.

"Both teams are strong. You have to get up and get ready against them. It's going to be mentally and physically challenging, but it's a good weekend to have before Blue-Gray."

The Tigers have won five straight coming into this weekend's doubleheader, including a pair of 4-0 wins last Saturday over Jackson State. Auburn did not drop a set in either match and got strong play from multiple players at several positions up and down the lineup.

"I was very pleased with the team because the three things they wanted to do were to be professional, to be mentally sharp and to be disciplined," Spencer said of the wins over Jackson State. "And everyone that came out for the two matches did exactly that. It was very impressive. We talked about playing at the highest level and playing to our potential, and they did. We also got to play some people that hadn't played in a while."

Sunday's matches will be the final non-conference home contests of the season. Samford enters the weekend at 4-2 overall and Georgia State is 1-4 on the year.

Live scoring for both matches and live video (if the match is played outdoors) will be available at AuburnTigers.com, and updates throughout both matches will be posted on the @AuburnWTennis Twitter.
