2020-21 Updates

Arena Capacity

  • As announced on November 19, in accordance with current state health COVID-19 guidelines, Auburn Arena capacity will be reduced to approximately 20% to begin the 2020-21 women’s basketball season.
  • To meet SEC protocol and to allow for proper physical distancing, the team benches will be flipped from the east sideline to the west.
  • Floor seating will not be available.
  • Available seats will be arranged in groups of two and four with 6 feet of distancing between each block of seats.  Unavailable seats will be marked accordingly. 
  • All season tickets will be general admission in the 100 level of Auburn Arena.
  • Students will be admitted to women’s basketball with a valid Ignited card.

Parking

  • Fans are encouraged to park in the Campus Safety Lot off Wire Road and Donahue Drive. The location is the most easily accessible lot to the main entrance of Auburn Arena.
  • Accessible parking is available in the Auburn Arena parking lot (limited spaces available) in addition to the Campus Safety Lots and CDV Lots on the corner of Wire Road and Extension Loop.  These areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To access, you will need a state tag or hangtag and a photo ID of the owner of the registered tag. The owner must be present to obtain access to accessible parking.
  • Additional parking is available at the following locations:
    • Arena Lot
    • Coliseum Lot
    • Stadium Parking Deck
    • Lowder Business Lot
    • Athletics Complex Deck (Top level, surface lot)

Arrival and Gate Entry

  • Doors for women’s basketball open 60 minutes prior to each game. 
  • Physical distance signage and markings will be placed at all entry gates.
  • Fans, player guests and students sitting on the 100 level are encouraged to enter the Main Entrance on the north side of the arena.
  • Those sitting in sections A-C are encouraged to enter the arena though the Scholarship Entrance.
  • Students will be required to show a green screen from the GuideSafe app before entering.
  • Public (non-student) ticket holders and working staff will have their temperature read prior to entering the stadium.
  • Bags should not exceed 12”x 6”x 12”
  • Individual hand sanitizer bottles not exceeding 3.4 ounces and disinfecting wipes will be permitted into the arena.

Physical Distancing and Face Coverings

  • Face coverings (over the nose and mouth) will be required for all upon entry and while inside the arena. 
  • Guests may remove face coverings while actively eating or drinking. 
  • Stadium workers and athletics staff will wear face coverings at all times. 
  • Directional signage, stanchions, and barriers will be installed to facilitate six-foot physical distance at entry gates, concourse pathways, concessions and merchandise queues and seating areas.
  • Event staff will assist in directing ticket holders through appropriate routes to seating areas, concession stands and restrooms.
  • Available seats will be arranged in groups of two and four with 6 feet of distancing between each block of seats.  Unavailable seats will be marked accordingly. 
  • Physical distancing will be maintained throughout the facility to the fullest extent possible, including limiting court access in accordance with SEC and NCAA recommendations. 

Touchless Experience

  • Auburn Arena will provide for contactless transactions, including digital ticketing, digital scanning of tickets at entry gates, and self-swiping of credit cards at concessions and merchandise outlets.
  • All transactions for concessions, merchandise and tickets will be contactless and cashless (credit cards only).
  • The Auburn University Athletics Ticket Office announced digital only ticketing, enabling contactless entry into all venues beginning with the 2020 football season. The shift to digital only ticketing provides a safer environment for fans, and guards against the production of fraudulent tickets.
  • Auburn Athletic Ticket Office personnel will be located at the main Auburn Arena Ticket Office and the north arena box office to assist ticket holders.

  • Ticket purchasers will receive their tickets via email, allowing for download to Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Pay Wallet (Android). Prior to arriving at the arena, fans will simply open their digital wallet.
  • Be sure to download the official Auburn gameday app. Available in the app store and Google play, the Auburn gameday app features access to the War Eagle Lights light show, free live audio, real-time social streams, interactive stadium maps, scoreboards, stats, gameday programs and much more.

Concessions and AU Team Shop

  • Operating under SEC, state and local health guidelines, a limited selection of food items will be available for sale in addition to bottled water and Coca-Cola products. All condiments will be pre-packaged.
  • Floor markings will allow spectators to form a physically distanced queue for concession and merchandise stands, with registers fitted with a plexiglass screen.
  • Half-Court Café (behind section 111) will be available for fans to purchase concessions. Chick-Fil-A will be served from this stand. A portable stand will be located in the Scholarship Entrance hallway for fans sitting in sections A-C.
  • Concessions and merchandise staff will wear facial covering at all times.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available for staff and spectators at concessions and merchandise stands.
  • All transactions for concessions and merchandise locations at Auburn Arena will be contactless and cashless (credit/debit and Tiger Cards only).

Cleaning and Sanitizing Measures

  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitization procedures throughout the arena prior to and during all games will be in effect for the 2020-21 season.
  • All cleaning and disinfection products have been certified by the Environmental Protection Agency or the Centers for the Disease Control for disinfection of COVID-19.
  • Fan and operational areas will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to game day. 
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be strategically placed in restrooms, elevators and throughout Auburn Arena. 
  • All athletics department workspaces will be supplied with hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray and wipes to clean game day workspaces frequently.

A-Z Guide

Accessibility

Accessible parking is available in the Arena Parking Lot. A state-issued hang tag or license plate is required and strictly enforced. Please display it in a visible location. Tiger Transit shuttles or accessible shuttles to other campus parking lots will not be operational for the 2020-21 season.

Banners & Signs

Small banners and signs are welcome at Auburn Arena. The following standards apply:

  • Item must be related to the event
  • Item may not be attached to a stick/pole
  • Item may not be larger than 11" x 17" in dimension
  • Item may not obstruct any sponsors'/advertisers' signage
  • Item may not be hung, attached, or displayed on any part of the building
  • Item may not contain or display obscene/offensive language and/or pictures as determined by Auburn Arena management
  • Item may not be constructed or displayed in a manner that will obstruct the view of other guests or in any way create a safety hazard for others as determined by Auburn Arena management. Management reserves the right to confiscate signage in violation of this policy or deny entry to theose attempting to enter Auburn Arena with it.
  • Guests are not allowed to hand out pamphlets, advertisement brochures, etc. to other guests while inside the building without prior approval.

Doors Open

Doors for Women's Basketball open 60 minutes prior to each event. General public may enter via the Main Entrance or Scholarship Entrance.

Elevators

The elevators inside Auburn Arena are available to to disabled and special needs guests.

Fan Code of Conduct

All patrons shall comply with NCAA and SEC sportsmanship fan codes of conduct. If noncompliant after a verbal warning, rude behavior to include the use of foul language will subject the fan to ejection from the arena. Attempting to come onto the court or throwing of objects, including cups and ice, from the stands or any other area of the arena is subject to ejection and/or arrest without warning. If ejected from the arena for any reason, the patron will not receive a refund and will not be readmitted.

In the spirit of sportsmanship, fans shall:

  • Conduct themselves in a manner that represents their university, the Southeastern Conference and the NCAA with honor, dignity and respect
  • Demonstrate the qualities of civility and sportsmanship at all times
  • Not use vulgar, abusive, racist, sexist, demeaning or intimidating language at any time
  • Support the players, coaches and officials in a positive manner
  • Treat the visiting team, coaches and fans with courtesy and respect at all times
  • Not engage in cheers that are vulgar, crass or demeaning
  • Refrain from throwing objects onto the court for any reason
  • Not become inebriated or belligerent
  • Refrain from entering the playing area at all times, including after the game
  • Be a positive role model for those around them by treating others with courtesy and respect

First Aid

The first aid station is located on the northwest concourse behind section 110. First aid stations are staffed by professionally trained and licensed East Alabama Medical Center EMTs.

Flash Photography

Flash photography is strictly prohibited at all indoor athletics events while competition is taking place.

Hall of Honor

The Jonathan B. Lovelace Hall of Honor is located on the north end of Auburn Arena.

Jogging

Use of the Arena for non athletics related purposes such as running, walking or stair exercises is prohibited.

Lost & Found

Any items found during the event should be given to an usher or taken to the first aid station on the concourse next to the Auburn Arena entrance behind Section 110. Items that are not picked up by the conclusion of the event will be given to Auburn police and can be picked up at the Auburn Police Department.

Prohibited Items

The following list of prohibited items was established to protect the safety and best interests of Auburn University students, student athletes, employees and fans.

  • Artificial noisemakers
  • Backpacks
  • Bags larger than 12"x 6"x 12"
  • Cameras with lenses over 4 inches
  • Food/beverage from outside Arena (including alcoholic beverages)
  • Hover Boards
  • Pets
  • Recording devices
  • Stadium seats with arms
  • Video cameras
  • Weapons (including pocket knives)

Depending on the requests of the promoter, additional items may be added to the prohibited items list for special events. Auburn Athletics reserves the right to prohibit items as necessary.

Public Address

Requests for public address announcements over the PA system will only be granted in cases of emergency.

Re-Entry

A medical re-entry wristband will be permitted at the discretion of EMS employees.

Restrooms

Restroom facilities are scattered throughout the arena and may be found across from sections 110 (M), 113 (W), 115 (M), 117 (W) on the main concourse. On the Mezzanine level, restrooms can be found across from sections 113 (M&W), 223 (M&W), 210 (M&W). Family restrooms can be found on the main concourse across from section 105 and 113. Changing tables are provided in every restroom facility.

Shop

The official Auburn Team Shop is located on the north end of Auburn Arena. The store is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m., M-F and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday (closed Sunday). During all basketball and gymnastics events, the store is open and may be accessed from inside the Arena.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited inside Auburn Arena and on the campus of Auburn University.

Solicitation

Solicitation on the Auburn University campus, without the express written consent of Auburn University or its agents, is strictly prohibited.
