OPELIKA, Ala. – Despite battling consistent wind gusts of 20 mph, the No. 10 Auburn men's golf team is in second after the first round of the Tiger Invitational Sunday afternoon.

The Tigers are at 5-over after their first tour of the par-72, 7,289-yard Grand National Lake Course. Auburn trails No. 21 Arkansas State by 10 shots for the overall lead. 

"It was really windy and we played ok," Auburn head coach Nick Clinard said. "We had it going early with some guys making a bunch of birdies. We just need to get better. We've got 36 holes to go. We're familiar with this golf course and we're looking forward to the next two days to try to make a comeback."

Graysen Huff led the way with an even-par 72 and is tied for sixth on the player leaderboard. The Eagle, Idaho native carded an eagle on the par-5 12th hole and also turned in two birdies on the front nine to highlight his day.

Despite posting a triple-bogey on the 15th hole, Jacob Solomon rebounded with a team-best five birdies and it tied for 16th overall at 1-over.

Brandon Mancheno and Jovan Rebula are tied for 21st at 2-over as the duo combined for 21 pars and six birdies.

Trace Crowe rounded out the Auburn contingent and is tied for 46th at 5-over. 

The Tigers also filled out a "B Team" and are sixth out of 16 at 8-over.

Ryan Knop paced the second squad with an even-par 72 and is tied with Huff for sixth. Marcus Svensson is just two shots back and in a tie for 21st overall with Mancheno and Rebula at 2-over.

Wells Padgett and Andrew Kozan are tied for 32nd at 3-over after their first circuits of the par-72 course. Jake Milanowski is tied for 74th at 10-over.

No. 21 Arkansas State leads the field at 5-under (283) followed by No. 10 Auburn (293), No. 6 SMU (295), Mercer (295), Georgia State (295), Auburn "B Team" (296), South Alabama (297), UNCW (301), Missouri (301), Kennesaw State (303), ULM (304), Florida Atlantic (304), Chattanooga (305), Western Kentucky (306), Austin Peay (307) and Lipscomb (315).

Auburn is pair with Arkansas State and SMU for the second round off the first tee box, beginning at 9:30 a.m. CT. The Tigers' "B Team" will begin round two from the 10th tee at 9:40 a.m. CT.
