AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn women's tennis team continues a six-match home stand Saturday as the Tigers host Jackson State for a doubleheader. Match times are set for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. CT at the Yarbrough Tennis Center, and admission is free.

The Tigers (7-1) have won three straight heading into Saturday's doubleheader with a road win at then-No. 13 Georgia Tech on Jan. 27 and a pair of wins last Saturday over Houston and UAB.

"Everyone is out to get us," Auburn head coach Lauren Spencer said. "We have to have this underdog mentality regardless of who we play. That's something we're going to have to work on in February. The first step is ownership, and then we work as a group to move forward with it.

"We just want to keep on improving. Each player has specific things they need to work on. You have to decide if you're going to play to the level of your opponent just to get through it, or if you're going to play to your potential and continue to improve. What you do in February directly impacts where you're going to be in May."

Sophomore Jaeda Daniel has been solid at the No. 1 singles spot for the Tigers, posting a 5-1 record in dual match play. She is ranked No. 86 nationally in the latest ITA rankings.

The Tigers have also been very strong in doubles, recording a 15-6 mark so far in the spring season and claiming the doubles point in six of eight matches. The team of junior Taylor Russo and freshman Sophia Graver comes into the weekend ranked No. 24 nationally.

Jackson State enters the weekend at 1-7 overall after dropping a pair of matches at Jacksonville State on Thursday.

Live video (if the match is played outdoors) and live scoring for both matches will be available at AuburnTigers.com.
