Six swimmers selected to Men’s NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn has had six swimmers selected to the 2019 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Austin, Texas, later this month, it was announced on Wednesday. The six selected swimmers are Foster Ballard, Tommy Brewer, Josh Dannhauser, Santiago Grassi, Liam McCloskey and Spencer Rowe. In addition, diver Conner Pruitt has also qualified for the meet, bringing the total to seven Auburn athletes.

Of the six swimmers selected, five of them have previous NCAA experience, with McCloskey (four), Grassi (three) and Brewer (two) each having earned All-America honors at previous championships. In addition, Spencer Rowe went to the championships last season as a relay alternate.

Brewer scored individual All-America honors in the 200 breast last year, finishing 15th, while Grassi and McCloskey have collected all of their honors on relays.

In addition, Auburn has qualified three relays in the 200 free relay and both medley relays.

The 2019 Men's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships will be held March 27-30 at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center at the University of Texas.
