KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Auburn basketball's Jared Harper was voted to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 21 Second Team, it was announced by the organization Thursday.
Harper was recently named to the Southeastern Conference All-Tournament Team after leading the Tigers to their second tournament title in program history.
On the season, the Mableton, Ga. native has averaged 15.2 points and 5.8 assists per game heading into the NCAA Tournament.
Harper has accounted for 38 percent of the offense through 532 points and 202 assists overall.
The junior became one of only nine players in SEC history to amass 1,200 points, 450 assists and 175 3-pointers in a career.
Harper has led Auburn in assists in 31 out of 35 games, as well as scoring 11 times. He has two double-doubles on the year after securing 20 points and 13 assists vs. South Alabama and 12 points and 10 assists against Murray State.
The District 21 First Team consisted of Admiral Schofield (Tennessee), PJ Washington (Kentucky), Tremont Waters (LSU), Grant Williams (Tennessee) and Quinndary Weatherspoon (Mississippi State). Joining Harper on the Second Team was Jordan Bone (Tennessee), Daniel Gafford (Arkansas), Chris Silva (South Carolina) and Breein Tyree (Ole Miss).
Auburn makes its 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament when it takes on New Mexico State at 12:30 p.m. CT on TNT and the Auburn Sports Network.
