AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn Tiger Paws captain Curran Umphrey has been selected for the 2019 E. Lynn Harris All-SEC Spirit Team.
The 2019 Spirit Team was recognized at the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament in Nashville, Tennessee. The team is comprised of a representative from each of the SEC schools in honor of former Arkansas Cheerleader and long-time volunteer coach E. Lynn Harris.
Selections to the E. Lynn Harris All-SEC Spirit Team recognize spirit members for their academic success, philanthropic dedication and overall representation of their university.
A senior public relations major from Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Curran is the daughter of Steve and Becky Umphrey and is in her fourth year as an Auburn Tiger Paw.
"Curran has done an amazing job as an Auburn Tiger Paw representing our spirit program and Auburn University for four years," Auburn spirit coordinator Latisha Durroh said. "She has been a great leader and is more like a coach, since she runs practices twice every week and our girls really depend on her.
"We are fortunate she has been in our program for four years and really appreciate all of Curran's hard work and contributions to Auburn University and the Auburn Tiger Paws."
