AUBURN, Ala. – After taking its first Southeastern Conference series in Knoxville since 2002 last weekend, No. 12 Auburn (32-8, 8-4) will look to continue its winning ways against South Carolina at Jane B. Moore Field this weekend.
Since 2005, Auburn is 14-3 against South Carolina at Jane B. Moore Field, including winning the last three in a row by a combined 19-5 score. No. 16 South Carolina (28-11, 5-9) is coming off its first SEC series when of the season when the Gamecocks took two of three games against then-No. 4 Alabama last weekend.
First pitch of the three-game series is scheduled for Friday, April 12 at 6 p.m. Saturday's contest will begin at 11 a.m., with Sunday's game starting at 1 p.m. Friday night's game can be seen on SEC Network + as Saturday's game is set to be broadcasted on SEC Network. ESPNU will show the series finale on Sunday.
"(South Carolina has) all the parts. They have speed, power, well-coached and a pitching staff that really compliments each other," said Auburn head coach Mickey Dean. "They've lost some close games and won some big games. They're coming off a great series against Alabama, so they're going to be coming in here with a great deal of confidence."
