AUBURN, Ala. – No. 47 Arkansas posted a 4-3 SEC win over Auburn to conclude the men's tennis regular season for both teams Saturday afternoon at the Billingsley Tennis Center in Fayetteville.
The Tigers triumphed in doubles for the sixth time in SEC play this season. On court one, Auburn's top doubles tandem of Brandon Laubser and Tad Maclean, ranked No. 51 nationally, posted a 6-1 win, and Matteo DeVincentis and Filippo Mora followed that up with a 6-4 victory on court two to give Auburn the doubles point.
In singles, Arkansas held the advantage. Auburn got a singles point from DeVincentis, who defeated Josh Howard-Tripp 6-3, 6-4 on court two, and added another on court four, where Tim Dollman downed Enrique Paya by a 6-4, 7-5 score.
Auburn is now 12-18 for the spring season; Arkansas is 14-14 overall and 3-9 in SEC action. The SEC tournament is April 17-22 at Florida.
