AUBURN, Ala. The Auburn men's tennis team faces No. 48 Arkansas in the opening round of the 2019 SEC championship tournament at Florida. All matches will be played at the Alfred Ring Tennis Complex in Gainesville.

This will be a rematch of Auburn's most recent contest. The two teams played in Fayetteville Saturday to close the regular season, with Arkansas posting a 4-3 win indoors.

"Arkansas is very familiar and I like our chances playing outside. We are an outdoor team, so the slower, the hotter the conditions, the bouncier the courts are, it plays into our favor," Auburn head coach Bobby Reynolds said.

"We have to do what we did on Saturday – come out and play well in doubles. Then in singles, it's just about some of the positions doing a better job of playing without regrets and playing more aggressive, taking chances when those opportunities arise."

In this week's Oracle/ITA rankings, Brandon Laubser and Maclean move up to No. 48 in the doubles listing, from a No. 51 ranking last week. Arkansas' Oscar Mesquida is ranked No. 66 in singles.

Auburn is 12-18 for the spring season entering postseason play; Arkansas is 14-14 overall and 3-9 in SEC action. The winner of Wednesday's match will face fifth-seeded No. 17 Georgia Thursday at 5 p.m. CT.
