AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn men's tennis team concluded its season Wednesday afternoon in a 4-1 loss to No. 48 Arkansas in the opening round of the 2019 SEC championship tournament at the Alfred Ring Tennis Complex in Gainesville, Fla.
Sophomore Tad Maclean, playing on court two, posted Auburn's lone team point in singles with a 6-4, 6-0 straight-set victory over Adam Sanjurjo.
Arkansas took the doubles point with wins on courts two and three, both matches by scores of 6-3. The Razorbacks then won the first set in three singles matches and went on to win all three of those contests to clinch the team victory.
Auburn finishes the team portion of the spring season with a 12-19 record; Arkansas is 15-14 overall and will now face fifth-seeded Georgia Thursday at 5 p.m. CT.
