Tigers fall at No. 3 South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Auburn women's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision on the road Thursday night to No. 3 South Carolina at the Carolina Tennis Center.

The Gamecocks took a 1-0 lead with doubles wins on courts two and three. Madeline Meredith and Taylor Russo were leading 5-4 at the top doubles spot against the nation's No. 3-ranked doubles tandem when play was halted. Carolina clinched the match with straight-sets wins at the No. 1, 2, and 6 singles spots.

The Tigers will be back in action Sunday when they take on the 23rd-ranked Florida Gators in Gainesville, Fla. Match time is set for noon CT. Links to live video and live stats are available on the women's tennis schedule page at AuburnTigers.com.
