FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 19/19 Auburn closes out the regular-season portion of its 2019 season this weekend as the Tigers (35-15, 10-11) travel to Fayetteville to face No. 20/24 Arkansas (35-16, 9-11).
The three-game series will begin on Friday, May 3 at 6 p.m. CT, before resuming on Saturday, May 4 at 5 p.m. CT, then concluding on Sunday, May 5 at 1 p.m. CT. Saturday's game will be broadcasted on ESPNU, while Friday and Sunday's games are on SEC Network +.
All three games can be heard on the Auburn Sports Network.
"That's why they call it a home-field advantage," said Auburn head coach Mickey Dean on Arkansas not dropping a home SEC series since 2016. "Sometimes, playing at home can do a lot of things to help a player: gives them a lot of extra energy and gives them a lot of extra fight."
Auburn, all-time, holds a 17-14 advantage in the series history in games played in Fayetteville, including a 15-5 mark since 2004. In 2016, the Tigers shutout the Razorbacks the entire series en route to sweeping the three-game series 54-0.
QUICK HITTERS:
- The last time Auburn played Arkansas in Fayetteville, the Tigers swept the series 54-0 in three five-inning games (21-0, 23-0, and 10-0) on April 15-17, 2016.
- In addition to the last time an Auburn team swept a three-game series without letting its opponent score, the Auburn-Arkansas series also provided the last time a Tiger hit for the cycle when Holly Currie accomplished the feat against the Razorbacks on March, 12, 2005.
- Coming off a career performance against then-No. 7 Florida, Chardonnay Harris was named SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week (4/30). Harris struck out a career-high 17 batters, which was second most in school history for a single game and the most by a Tiger pitcher against a SEC team in school history.
