AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team added three to the 2020 class, head coach Jeff Graba announced. Morgan Leigh Oldham, Elise Panzner and Anna Sumner are set to join the squad for the upcoming season.
The trio will join an already successful freshman class in Aria Brusch, Addie Sabados, Piper Smith and Cassie Stevens.
MORGAN LEIGH OLDHAM
Hometown: Orlando, Fla.
High School: Holly Springs
Event: All-Around
Gym: Sonshine Gymnastics
HIGHLIGHTS: 2015 and 2017 JO Nationals Qualifier … 2019 Nashville Nights vault, beam and floor champion … 2017 Level 10 regional floor champion … 2015 Florida state champion – all-around, vault, bars and floor.
GRABA THOUGHTS: "Morgan Leigh is a true all-around gymnast. She comes to us with a lot of national level experience, competing at the highest levels of our sport. She is fun to watch and could be challenging for some lineup spots early on."
ELISE PANZNER
Hometown: Spring Hill, Fla.
High School: Bishop McLaughlin Catholic
Event: All-Around
Gym: La Fleurs Tampa
HIGHLIGHTS: 2019 and 2018 JO Nationals Qualifier … 2018 regional runner up on vault … Finished third at the 2017 Florida state meet in the all-around, on beam and floor.
GRABA THOUGHTS: "Elise is a tremendous athlete with a bunch of big-meet experience. I expect she will have a shot at helping us on a few events early on in her career."
ANNA SUMNER
Hometown: Sumner, Ga.
High School: Tiftarea Academy

Gym: Tift Gymnastics Academy
HIGHLIGHTS: 2019 JO National Qualifier … 2019 Atlanta Crown vault, bars, beam and all-around champion … Five-time Level 10 regional qualifier.
GRABA THOUGHTS: "Anna is a very powerful gymnast. She has been to our camps a number of times and we are very familiar with her and she feels comfortable here. She should be a dynamic addition to this team."
