COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Auburn softball players Kendall Veach and Casey McCrackin were chosen as All-SEC honorees, the league office announced Tuesday morning.

Veach was tabbed as the Second Team All-SEC Catcher, while McCrackin was named to the conference's All-Defensive team at second base.

"Those are two seniors who have worked hard since they got to Auburn and it's nice to see them get rewarded," said Auburn softball head coach Mickey Dean. "Kendall takes hitting to heart and Casey, since the first day we've gotten here, her defense has improved tremendously."

Veach enters the 2019 SEC Tournament with a team-leading 20 home runs, which is one shy of Kasey Cooper's single-season mark (21) set in 2015. She also concluded the regular season with a .988 fielding percentage behind the plate and threw out 10 would-be base stealers.

The Selma, Ala., native also led the Tigers in RBI (47), total bases (112), slugging percentage (.778), walks (29) and on-base percentage (.420). She was also a perfect 3 for 3 in stolen bases.

Across the infield, McCrackin committed only one error in 57 fielding opportunities during Auburn's 24 SEC games. She was one of three Tiger players with over 100 fielding changes (102) on the season and her 96 assists were the second most on the team. The senior helped turn 18 double plays throughout the season.

Veach, McCrackin and the rest of the Tigers (35-18, 10-14) will look to help lead Auburn to a first-round win against Missouri at 3 p.m. when the SEC Tournament begins on Wednesday, May 8.
