HOOVER, Ala. – Auburn (32-23, 14-16 SEC) begins postseason play against No. 21 Tennessee (38-18, 14-16 SEC) at the SEC Tournament Tuesday. First pitch at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. CT.

The game will be broadcast on SEC Network and available online. Tuesday's action can also be heard locally on WTGZ-FM (93.9), online at AuburnTigers.com, or on a mobile device via the Auburn Athletics app.

QUICK HITTERS

The Tigers appearance in the SEC Tournament is the team's 27th all-time, including its third straight in four season under head coach Butch Thompson.

Auburn is 34-48 all-time in the conference tournament, including 13-13 in the opening game.

The Tigers have won its single elimination game in each of its last three trips to Hoover.

Auburn's two wins in Hoover a season ago were the most since 2003.

The team's three SEC Tournament wins in the last two seasons are the most in back-to-back seasons since winning the tournament in 1998 (4-1) and finishing third in 1999 (2-2).

Ryan Bliss led Auburn in average and runs scored during conference play and was named to the Freshman All-SEC Team. He is the fifth Tiger to earn Freshman All-SEC honors in the last two years.

Elliott Anderson will make his second straight start after starting the series opener at LSU last Thursday. Anderson leads the team with five wins this season.

SCOUTING THE VOLUNTEERS

Tennessee finished the regular season 38-18 overall and 14-16 in conference play, and the Volunteers won four of its last six conference series.

Offensively, Tennessee ranks ninth in the league with a .267 batting average and 356 runs scored. The Volunteers are led by Alerick Soularie's .365 clip, while Andre Lipcius paced the team with 16 home runs and 56 RBI.

On the mound, Tennessee ranks fifth in the league and 20th in the country with a 3.57 ERA. The Volunteers are tied for the national lead with 10 shutouts this season.

SERIES HISTORY

Auburn swept Tennessee to open SEC play earlier this season and holds a 95-39 advantage in the all-time series against the Volunteers.

Tuesday's game marks the first time Auburn and Tennessee have met in postseason play.
